Becky Toal named Society for the Environment Awards finalist

The annual SocEnv Awards have once again resulted in an inspiring list of finalists, with the winners to be announced at a virtual celebratory event on June 8.

The Society for the Environment (SocEnv) is delighted to announce the highly deserving finalists for the prestigious Society for the Environment Awards 2022. Two awards are up for grabs:

Environmental Professional of the Year 2022

Highlighting the best work of Registered Certified Environmentalists (CEnv), Certified Environmental Practitioners (REnvP) and Certified Environmental Technicians (REnvTech).

2022 Newcomer of the Year

Highlight professionals who really got started by having obtained the REnvP, REnvTech or CEnv registration since the beginning of 2021.

Finalists were selected from a range of high caliber nominations, received for environmental professionals working in the fields of energy, agriculture, environmental management, water supply , transport, resources and waste, chemical engineering, built environment, etc. Nominees also ranged from freelancers to directors working for multinational consulting firms.

The jury has confirmed that the finalists for the 2022 SocEnv Awards are: Environmental Professional of the Year 2022, Stephanie McGibbon CEnv Director, Arup, registered through the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA), Professor Russell Thomas CEnv, Technical Director, WSP UK Ltd, registered through the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and also Becky Toal CEnv Managing Director, Crowberry Consulting Ltd Registered through the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).

Becky Toal, Managing Director, said: “It’s an absolute privilege to be in the top three for Environmental Professional of the Year 2022 at such an incredible company for the hard work we do day in and day out. for environmental management and sustainability.
