“By partnering with the Best Friends Animal Society, we are able to help save the lives of these adorable messmakers and bring them into their furry home,” said Janette Yauch, Vice President of Bounty. . “With Bounty, we can also help these new parents when it comes to quickly picking up animal messes once they come home.”

Katherine Schwarzenegger joins Bounty’s efforts to surprise these new pet owners – New York Times best-selling author, mother, wife, daughter, lawyer and dog mother to save the Maverick pup. Going from promoting Maverick to providing her forever home is what inspired her to write her first children’s book, maverick and me. Schwarzenegger is also an ambassador for the Best Friends Animal Society.

“Adopting Maverick and learning about the animal rescue rower has been one of the joys of my life,” says Katherine. “So when Bounty asked me to partner with them to help save Best Friends pets, I knew I had to say yes.”

Each year, 347,000 pets are killed in shelters across the United States, according to Best Friends Animal Society. Currently, there are 100,000 more pets at risk of being killed in shelters than at the same time last year due to recent issues such as understaffing, limited opening hours of shelters, fewer volunteers and fewer adoption events. For every animal Bounty helps adopt, it can save two lives: the animal that comes home and the one that now has room to come to a Best Friends rescue center.

“May is one of the busiest months for animal shelters across the country. The sad truth is that shelters get overcrowded when animals aren’t adopted quickly enough, which can put lives at risk,” says Castle. “That’s why we are grateful to Bounty for coming to the rescue quickly and recouping the adoption fee this month. This will help Best Friends bring more animals into homes at this critical time. .”
