Since the election, Lisa has worked as the SNP’s spokesperson for mental health from 2017 and chaired the House of Commons cross-party psychology group which successfully called for ‘psychological first aid’ for staff in front line of COVID-19 during the pandemic.
She also campaigned for the prioritization of a children’s mental health strategy.
Lisa was nominated for the award in 2020 and received her boxed award this week.
She said: “I am delighted to receive this award.
“Since the election, I think it’s important to promote mental health issues in parliament, especially because of the pandemic.
“I have been extremely proud to have worked for local people in NHS Mental Health Trusts across Scotland for over 20 years, and improving mental health and disability services remains a key priority in Parliament. “
