A CREATIVE group of talented artists have launched their latest exhibition in a former furniture and clothing store.
The Colchester Art Society has just launched its winter exhibition in Trinity Square inside what was once a Laura Ashley store.
The premises are currently managed by We Are The Minories, which is the new incarnation of the Minories Art Gallery, which is currently under renovation.
The site is now used for various artistic purposes, with odd-looking tree structures inside, which are used for mounting exhibitions and works.
The company’s winter exhibition spans two floors and features 116 beautiful and stimulating paintings, prints and sculptures.
Alison Scott, of the Colchester Art Society, said: “There is something for everyone here, big and small, traditional and modern, vibrant and muted.
“Although the company was successful in hosting two virtual exhibitions during the pandemic, there is no substitution for reality.
“Once gathered, you can appreciate the diversity, imagination and exuberance of our local artists.
The winter exhibition is now open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will run until December 22.
