FALLBROOK – Continuing its classic hit Sunday format, the Fallbrook Music Society announced its 44th annual concert season at the Fallbrook Mission Theater, featuring one of the most engaging artist lines ever scheduled.
Ann Murray, Executive Director of FMS, said: “We have spent the past 12 months working hard to support our audiences with online concerts while preparing for the future. Our upcoming season features incredible diversity, new collaborations, and a downtown location. We’re really excited! ”All concerts are free and open to the general public. No tickets are required.
FMS ’44th annual concert season opens on Sunday August 22 with Fred Benedetti and Camarada. The 8 concert series includes two small ensembles of the Dana Point Symphony Orchestra, the Aviara Trio with Fallbrook ‘favorite’ Ines Irawati, and the return of Kyle Orth, grandson of Lucina Orth, and his wife Rachel,
Other highlights include the duet piano with an assistant professor from the Juilliard School and a vocal concert featuring Sacra / Profana Choir. “Our 44th annual concert series is what Fallbrook music lovers have told us they want: a range of classical music styles, instruments and formats. This season delivers just that.” Murray noted.
The Fallbrook Mission Theater has a 300-seat auditorium with excellent visibility and excellent acoustics. This move was made possible by the bequests of several longtime Fallbrook supporters who made generous donations that were used to purchase a Yamaha C7 concert grand piano.

Murray continued, “We wouldn’t be at the Mission Theater without the support of Roy and Joyce Ansell, Jane B. Lorenz and Carol and Dominic Savoca, whose generous donations have enabled us to purchase a ‘state of the art’ piano. That we have now. Together, they made Mission Theater our next place. “
New for this season is an outdoor performance in collaboration with Rally 4 Children at the Arts in the Park event on Sunday May 1. Murray said, “Rally 4 Children is a longtime partner of the Fallbrook Music Society and we are happy to be a part of this community event which aims to develop a greater appreciation of the arts in children of all ages. We welcome a 14 piece Trumpet Ensemble, Trumpets R Us, which will be nothing short of a trumpet bargain! ”
The Mission Theater is located at 231 North Mission Avenue. Performances begin at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 pm Season brochures are available at the Chamber of Commerce and the full season is broadcast on FallbrookMusicSociety.org.
