Kansas Society of CPAs names women to watch

The Kansas Society of CPAs hosted its 2021 KSCPA Awards Luncheon at the Lake Quivira Country Club last week, announcing the recipients and nominees of its 2021-2022 Women to Watch Awards.

The event is part of the crown corporation’s annual KSCPA Membership Value Day. The Women to Watch Awards are organized in partnership with the American Institute of CPAs.

Stacie Wilson (photo, right), partner and COO at Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk & Lloyd at McPherson, received the Emerging Leader award, while Denise Peterson (photo, left), director of the same firm , received the experienced leader award. .

“Being a leader is knowing who you are, knowing your worth, and then doing what you can to add value to those around you,” Wilson said in a statement. “There is such a need in our world today, not just in our profession. We need men and women to take on this role so that together we can navigate the changes that our profession and the communities in which we live must face in the years to come. “
