One Oman: Environmental Society of Oman reminds us of the importance of supporting conservation efforts

On the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, the Environment Society of Oman (ESO) reminds us once again of the importance of conservation. As the World Environment Day 2022 campaign, #OnlyOneEarth, calls for collective and transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore the planet, ESO is doing its part in this little corner of the world , to encourage action in Oman. The organization has shared a captivating video that highlights its conservation activities and features stunning images of the country’s rich natural environment, while delivering a more serious message: Unless people continue to help, the vital work of ESO cannot continue.

As Oman’s only non-profit organization dedicated to environmental conservation, ESO has over the past 18 years played a pivotal role in preserving its unique and diverse environment. As well as spearheading several scientific research programs and conservation campaigns supporting endangered species in Oman, ESO continues to publish countless awareness-raising materials and organize educational competitions, capacity building, workshops and community activities. As ESO continues to face the many challenges of environmental conservation, it depends on the generosity of the public. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference by ensuring that Oman’s natural wonders can continue to be enjoyed by future generations.

Donations can be made through the website, eso.org.om, or through mobile apps, including Oman Arab Bank, Bank Dhofar, Talabat, TM Done and Omantel. Or, Omantel subscribers can donate 1 OMR per month, by simply texting “Donate” to 90108.
