As we kick off the in-person spring term, many new organizations on campus are looking for potential new members. One such organization is the Highlander Business Society.

HBS is the newest on-campus business organization dedicated to helping students pursue careers in business. Members can attend meetings, workshops, and socials to build on their resumes and connect with other like-minded people. The organization’s goal is to create a community of individuals committed to training the next generation of business leaders.

“I love how HBS cultivates a supportive community of highly motivated peers who provide students with the resources and guidance needed to succeed in the business world. If someone is feeling lost or unsure how to start their career, HBS is the perfect place to help you,” said fourth-year co-chair Emily Sim.

At HBS, members will be able to work in all areas of business, some of which include business consulting, marketing, finance and management. Some of these members have already worked with 3 of the Big 4 accounting firms, including Target, Wish, Amazon, Deloitte, PwC, Salesforce, Ernst & Young and Twitter.

Not only is HBS dedicated to empowering personal and professional growth, but the organization has contributed to the UCR community in many ways. They have already held numerous fundraising events, assembled COVID-19 care packages for the Path of Life organization in Riverside, and attended the UCR’s Involvement Fair.
